Cosmetic Dentistry Can Renew Your Smile and Confidence

Porcelain Veneers

Drs. Jospeh D. Murray and William Alexander offer a comprehensive range of cosmetic dentistry services to help you feel confident in your smile. Veneers are one of our most popular and effective treatments. These thin shells of porcelain can conceal chips, misshapen teeth, gaps in your smile, and other imperfections. Before you decide veneers are right for you, we will use our innovative simulator to show you what your smile will look like once your treatment is complete.

LUMINEERS® are thinner than traditional veneers, so your dentist will need to remove a smaller amount of enamel before placing them. In some cases, he can even attach the veneers without any alteration of your natural tooth structure. If you struggle with dental sensitivity, you may be a good candidate for LUMINEERS®. These restorations can perform most of the same functions as traditional veneers. However, the thinner material may not be the best choice for severely stained teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Both take-home and in-office whitening can achieve comparable results, and the type you choose will primarily depend on your budget and lifestyle. If you choose take-home treatment, your dentist will provide whitening gel and a set of custom-made trays that fit comfortably around your teeth. After wearing the trays about 30 minutes a day for two weeks, your smile will be noticeably lighter. In-office treatment uses a stronger version of whitening gel, along with an activating light, to dramatically whiten teeth in as little as 45 minutes.

Dental Bonding

During dental bonding, your dentist will use composite resin to fill in chips, mask stains, and even lengthen and reshape teeth. First, he will select the shade of resin that blends indistinguishably with your surrounding teeth. After he applies the composite to your teeth, he will sculpt and polish the material to give it a highly lifelike look. If you want the results of porcelain veneers, but you are on a tighter budget, dental bonding may be a great solution.

Gum Contouring

If you have disproportionately large gums or an uneven gum line, our team can perform cosmetic enhancements with state-of-the-art surgical lasers. Using these highly precise tools, they can eliminate excess tissue, performing a gum lift or contouring, to improve the proportion and symmetry of your smile. Lasers actually seal your soft tissue as they treat, minimizing discomfort and recovery time. Gum lifts and gum contouring can transform your appearance and even make you look significantly younger.

Six Month Smiles®

If you want straighter teeth, but do not want to undergo a year or more of traditional orthodontic treatment, Six Month Smiles® may be the solution. This treatment can correct minor misalignment using discreet tooth-colored braces and clear wires. Thanks to its unique design and our advanced treatment planning, Six Month Smiles® exerts gentle pressure for an accelerated treatment time. Although this treatment is an outstanding cosmetic option, it is not suitable to correct more severe forms of malocclusion.

ClearCorrect is another discreet orthodontic option. After your doctor takes impressions of your teeth, you will receive a custom-made set of clear plastic aligners. As you switch to each new tray in the series, your teeth will gradually shift into proper alignment. ClearCorrect can address both cosmetic issues and, often, more extensive bite misalignment. The trays are comfortable and virtually undetectable, even at a close distance.

Porcelain Inlays & Onlays

Porcelain inlays and onlays are tailor-made restorations that are bonded to the biting surface of damaged molars. Onlays are larger, extending beyond the cusps of the tooth, or pointed edges, and down its sides. Smaller inlays lie in between the cusps. Although they are often considered a restorative treatment, inlays and onlays can also enhance the appearance of deeply stained or structurally damaged molars. We will choose porcelain that is a near-perfect match to your smile.

Smile Makeover

A smile makeover combines any number of procedures into an individually tailored treatment plan. During a thorough consultation, you will discuss your aesthetic concerns and objectives. Then the dentist will help you select two or more cosmetic treatments to meet your goals, schedule, and budget. Often, you can choose which aspects of your smile you wish to address first. To help you select the optimal treatment options, we will provide a mock-up to show you how you will look after your makeover.

If your teeth are misaligned, Invisalign is a popular and effective alternative to traditional braces that can give you a straight, symmetrical smile. Rather than relying on metal hardware, this system uses clear removable mouthpieces. This means that during Invisalign treatment, you can eat any foods you choose, and brushing and flossing can be performed normally.
